Welcome to the 90's when it all began for Circle.

At the time, young skaters discovered tricks that came straight, or almost, from the United States on VHS tapes played using a magneto (magneto = video recorder, a prehistoric device that played video cassettes). To understand and get to grips with these tricks, they watched these VHS tapes until the tape curled. Stacey and his gang were turning California upside down with their skateboards without really knowing what they were creating.

It took a few years for Avignon to transform these VHS tapes into something concrete that parents could finally understand. Nicolas Ivars is one of them and when he meets Mike, the adventure that everyone dreams of begins: turning their passion into their job. In 1999, Circle opened in this small shop on rue Folco de Baroncelli in Avignon, and never moved.

Skateboarding has been and will always be done in unique and intimate places that become, over time, the essential landmarks of new generations. 20 years later, we no longer doubt the passion and commitment of Mike, who has become the boss of Circle for a few years. His sense of sharing as well as his taste for beautiful skateboarding are felt in the selection that can be found on the racks and on the walls of the shop with, among others, legendary brands like Carhartt, Stussy, HUF, Nike SB, Adidas skateboarding, Converse Cons, Vans… but all this without forgetting to help small labels emerge because giving a helping hand to new ones is making skateboarding last.
