New Amsterdam Surf Association

The New Amsterdam Surf Association (NASA) was founded in 2018 by Paul Zeper to break the stereotype of the idyllic surf scene. As a professional windsurfer living in Amsterdam and surfing at Wijk aan Zee, an industrial spot, he wanted to combine urban life with surf culture. NASA brings together a team of passionate surfers who spend more time in the city than on the beach. Their quest to reach the waves, often by public transport or car, symbolizes the spirit of this new wave of surfers.
