Carhartt WIP is the shop's number one brand, and pants are one of its signature pieces. But between the Sid, the Newel, the Landon and the Brandon, it's not easy to find your way: the real difference is the fit. Here are the models we have right now, from the slimmest to the loosest.

Slim: the Sid

The Sid Pant is a slim-fit chino in stretch "Lamar" twill (cotton, T400 and polyester), designed for comfort and freedom of movement. It's the slimmest fit in the selection.

Regular tapered: the classic fit

A regular fit, slightly tapered at the bottom. You'll find it on:

  • the Flint Pant, in garment-dyed organic cotton twill, with an elasticated drawstring waist and tool pockets;
  • the Aaron Pant, a five-pocket in heavy cotton denim;
  • the Klondike Pant, in 13.5 oz organic cotton "Maitland" denim, low waist and button fly;
  • the Atoka Pant, in brushed wool, with tool pockets and a hammer loop.

Relaxed tapered: the Newel and the Calder

A little more room, still tapered at the bottom. The Newel Pant is a five-pocket in organic "Maitland" denim, also available in corduroy. The Calder Pant comes in "Jefferson" twill (cotton and polyester), with a loose, tapered fit.

Loose tapered: the Landon and the Jace

Loose, then narrower at the hem. The Landon Pant is in heavy cotton denim with a low waist, and we have it in several washes. The Jace Pant has a loose tapered fit too, in black rinsed denim.

Straight and loose: the Brandon, the Simple and the Oakland

A straight, wide leg. The Brandon Pant is in heavy "Smith" denim, with a low crotch. The Simple Pant takes the straight, relaxed leg of Carhartt work pants, in "Norco" denim. The Oakland Pant goes further into workwear: low waist, double knees, tool pockets and a hammer loop.

Relaxed and cargo: the Fletcher and the OG Cargo

The loosest ones, in cotton ripstop, with pleated knees and adjustable leg openings. The Fletcher Pant has a low elasticated waist. The OG Cargo Pant is inspired by the military cargo pant, with multiple pockets, double knees and drawcords at the ankles.

For chilling: the sweatpants

The Chase, Mack and Bolon sweatpants all have a loose fit, in polyester-cotton.

Which size should you take?

Carhartt WIP pants come in W sizes, meaning your waist in inches, from W28 to W36 depending on the model. Our size guide gives the equivalents in centimetres. A few pointers from the photos: the model is 1.84 m (6'0") and wears a W32 in the Landon, 1.83 m and a W32 in the Newel, 1.80 m and a W32 in the Sid.

The easiest way is still to try them on at the shop, 3 rue Folco de Baroncelli in Avignon. And if the size isn't right, you have 14 days to return the item.
