The chef pant is the piece that made Service Works famous. Right now we have five models in store, in eight colourways. The basic cut is the same; what really changes is the fabric, from light leopard-print cotton to wool flannel. Here's how to find your way.

What they all share

They all have a relaxed fit and an elasticated waist with a drawstring: no belt needed. Four out of five have a straight leg and fatigue-style front pockets, like on military trousers. And all of them except the Flannel are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton.

The five models, from lightest to warmest

Patterned Easy Chef, the leopard

A 300 gsm 100% cotton drill with a leopard print. It's the lightest of the five. It comes in black, brown and green, and the Patterned Easy Chef shirt and the apron use the same print in all three colourways, if you want the full set.

Pigment HBT, the herringbone

HBT stands for herringbone twill: a 310 gsm twill, pigment-dyed. Just a touch heavier than the leopard. In black or olive.

House Gingham, the check

A 350 gsm yarn-dyed cotton: the gingham checks are woven in, not printed. In blue, with the FOH overshirt in the same gingham.

OD Easy Chef, the overdyed denim

An 11.25 oz denim (about 380 gsm), overdyed in sage green. It's the only one built differently: no outseam on the legs, slit side pockets and a single patch pocket at the back.

Flannel Chef, the winter flannel

The heaviest one: a 390 gsm flannel with 50% wool. It's the one you want when the cold kicks in. In charcoal grey, with its matching FOH overshirt.

Which size should you take?

They go from XS to XL (up to L for the OD Easy). The elasticated waist with drawstring gives you a bit of leeway. As a guide: on the Gingham and OD Easy photos, the model is 6'0" (1.83 m) and wears an M; on the Flannel photos, he's 6'2" (1.88 m) and also wears an M.
